Mariposa was established in the gold rush days in the early 1800’s. It’s the last community before reaching the main Arch Rock entrance to the valley in Yosemite National Park. Over 4.5 million visitors spend their vacations in Yosemite every year. Millions of visitors pass through our little town. Mariposa is a community of only 4,000 people. People are still finding gold to this day in these hills. There is a lot of history in this tiny little town we call home. We would love to share it with our visitors.

We are within walking distance of the Yosemite Area Transit bus so guests can just catch the bus directly to Yosemite. We also are within walking distance to all shops and major restaurants.
